The
founder committee members of The Stalybridge 501 League were Ian & Mary
Heap, playing for the Peacock, Michael Booth, from The Fleece, Colin Houghton,
from the Lancashire Ward Liberal Club, Colin Boutty of The Swan, and Neil
Vickers. It has always been a mixed league, welcoming ladies, as well as gentlemen
as members. The present Committee consists of David Attwood(Chairman &
Secretary), Michael Lawlor(Treasurer), and Earl Booth(Social Secretary-dealing
with Presentations, Entertainment etc.)
